Amber May

Hi I'm Amber! I began my apprenticeship with Altered Ego Studios, both tattooing and piercing, in June of 2021. Originally I was a biology major at university, But I became inspired by the art and music scene in Philadelphia where I used to live.​ So I shifted my focus into the art of tattooing, to help others express themselves fully and authentically.

My interest in tattooing began with heavy blackwork tattooers and  extreme body modifications. I'm very inspired by blackwork, as well as minimalism with delicate details and soft stippling.
