Rachael Dait

Hey there, I'm Rachael! I started my apprenticeship in 2015 here at Altered Ego Studios, learning under Brandi Dalton. After a few years with Graphic Design and Fine Art Education through Lehigh Carbon Community College, I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to work in the artistic field everyday. To create art and hear the stories behind them is the best part of my job.

At home, when I am not busy tattooing, you’ll likely find me out in my gardens or in nature somewhere taking photos and getting inspiration for my artistic hobbies. I love design and decoration, so I am often digging around for lost treasures and antiques. My art studio is filled with knick knacks to build terrariums and snail aquariums with my gaggle of cats.

 In the studio, my tattoo style often leans towards illustrative, with varying lines and a whimsical style. My favorite styles include ornate and mandala designs mixing with floral and nature, but I am open to hearing new ideas and thrive on the variety of pieces I get to do, here at Altered Ego. I love to work with color, but am always happy for black and gray projects. Cover-ups are also a fun challenge.

My books are often out a few months at a time, but I always encourage clients to send me their ideas through our consult form at any point to get scheduled for my next consult day.
